Four key drivers behind copper’s growth opportunity

Copper is becoming increasingly important to the global economy as electrification, renewable energy infrastructure and artificial intelligence drive demand higher.

However, supply is struggling to keep pace. Long development timelines for new mines, declining ore grades and rising demand are creating potential supply constraints.

Sprott Pure Play Copper Miners UCITS ETF (CPPR) provides ESG exposure to copper miners.

Copper is a raw material that is essential to the transition to a less carbon-intensive economy. Copper is critical for the energy transition from fossil fuels to cleaner energy sources and technologies, and for the purpose of this index includes copper producers, developers and explorers.

The copper miners ETF tracks the Nasdaq Sprott Copper Miners Screened Index (NSCOPE), which is designed to track the performance of a selection of securities in the copper industry.

Key risks

  • Energy infrastructure companies may be subject to specific industry and sector risks such as commodity price fluctuations and decrease in demand for energy during a recession.

  • The Sub-Fund’s assets will be actively managed by the investment manager who will have discretion to invest assets to achieve the investment objective. There is no guarantee that the Sub-Fund’s investment objective will be achieved based on the investments selected.
  • When you invest in ETFs your capital is fully at risk and may not get back the amount originally invested.
  • Exchange rates can have a positive or negative effect on returns.
  • The value of equities and equity-related securities can be affected by daily stock and currency market movements.
  • Please note this is not an exhaustive list of risks. Other risks may apply and can be found in the Prospectus.
