When you invest in ETFs your capital is at risk.
HANetf, Europe’s first and leading white-label UCITS ETF and ETC platform,[1] is delighted to announce it has won the award for “Standout ETF Provider In UK” at the Citywire ETF Awards 2026.
This award, determined by Citywire’s pan-European readers, comes on the back of a record-breaking year for HANetf. Since the start of 2025, our assets under management (AUM) have more than doubled, rising from $4.75 billion to $9.6 billion.[2]

A significant driver of this growth has been our thematic ETF range. The Future of Defence UCITS ETF (ticker: NATO) has nearly quintupled its assets since the beginning of 2025, now standing at $3.16 billion AUM.[3] Meanwhile, the more recently launched Future of European Defence Screened UCITS ETF (ticker: ARMY) has gathered €168.76 million in AUM.[4] Given the ongoing geopolitical landscape, defence themes continue to be a key focus for investors in 2026.
Energy security has also been a major theme, with hard assets gaining attention. The Sprott Uranium Miners UCITS ETF (ticker: URNM) has reached a milestone AUM of $427.65 million, while the Sprott Pure Play Copper Miners UCITS ETF (ticker: CPPR) has amassed $116.49 million.[5]
In the realm of physical commodities, the demand for gold has surged amid growing global instability. The Royal Mint Responsibly Sourced Physical Gold ETC (ticker: RMAU) has hit a record AUM of $1.96 billion, with its three currency-hedged versions (GBP, EUR, CHF) totalling a combined $256.19 million. It was also recognised by Funds Europe as “Best Sustainable Investment ETF” at their 2025 awards.
Beyond flows, we also expanded our product range across numerous strategies and asset classes. In 2025, HANetf brought numerous new ETF brands to Europe: Amerant Investments, Infrastructure Capital, Jupiter Asset Management, King Ridge Capital, Middlefield, ODDO BHF, Regan Capital, REX Shares, and YieldMax®.
Active ETFs led the way, with 19 launches over the year – of the more than 600 enquiries HANetf received last year regarding ETF launches, approximately 80% were about active strategies. Assets in active ETFs grew a record 86% in Europe last year.[6]
Elsewhere, five new thematic ETFs were launched on the platform, including our range of Article 8 defence ETFs, the Indo-Pacific defence ETF, screened gold miners ETF, and “Making Europe Great Again” ETF.
We also launched our first ranges of covered call ETFs with YieldMax® and REX Shares, marking both companies’ first entries to the UCITS ETF market.
Now, HANetf accounts for around 20% of the total European ETF brands.[7]
Towards the end of 2025, HANetf was also recognised by Funds Europe as “European ETF Provider Of The Year – Passive ETF” and by ETF Stream as “White-Label ETF Provider Of The Year”. Our COO, Manooj Mistry, was also recognised as “European Investment Personality Of The Year” at the ETF Stream Awards, on the 25th anniversary of him building Europe’s first UCITS ETFs.
Hector McNeil, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of HANetf, commented: “It is a great honour to be recognised as ETF Provider Of The Year by Citywire’s readers. We pride ourselves on the breadth and quality of our fund range, and awards like this validate our commitment to staying ahead of the curve and bringing innovative investment strategies to Europe.
“It also validates the white-label model, and we are proud that as an independent firm we can thrive alongside industry giants. Thank you to Citywire, our global partners, clients, and the HANetf team for their continued support and hard work.”
