When you invest in ETFs your capital is at risk.
HANetf, Europe’s first and leading white-label UCITS ETF and ETC platform,[1] is delighted to announce that it has won four new awards:
At the 19th annual Investment Week Sustainable Investment Awards, The Royal Mint Responsibly Sourced Physical Gold ETC (RMAU) took home the award for “Best Sustainable Investment ETF”.
HANetf partnered with The Royal Mint back in 2020 to develop from the ground up and launch RMAU, marking the first time that a gold ETC had been created in partnership with a European sovereign mint. The product is physically backed by London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) post-2019 responsibly sourced good delivery bars – and a growing number of post-2022 bars – which is the highest standard available.
The ETC has also surpassed its target of over half the gold custodied being 100% recycled. Recycled gold is thought to be over 90% less carbon intensive than mined gold, which can potentially reduce the carbon footprint of an investor’s portfolio.
Further to this, RMAU benefits from The Royal Mint’s unique custody arrangement via its ultra-high security, 24/7-guarded vault in Llantrisant, Wales. The product also offers physical redemption, allowing investors in the ETC to redeem their shares for gold and coins from The Royal Mint – the range of gold products on offer is unparalleled, and includes the renowned Britannia and Sovereign coins. On the 20th of October 2025 RMAU reached a peak AUM of $1.75 billion in assets under management (AUM).
HANetf also won the Funds Europe award for “European ETF Provider of the Year (Passive ETF)”. Following on from the success of Future of Defence UCITS ETF (NATO), which currently has over $2.8 billion AUM, HANetf launched Future of European Defence Screened UCITS ETF (ARMY) and Future of Defence Screened UCITS ETF (NATE), the first ever SFDR Article 8 defence products in Europe. HANetf also launched Europe’s first Indo-Pacific defence ETF: Future of Defence Indo-Pacific ex-China UCITS ETF (QUAD). HANetf has Europe’s largest range of defence ETFs.
Other passive strategies launched in 2025 include Gold Miners Screened UCITS ETF (ESGO), which provides hybrid exposure to gold miners and physical gold via the RMAU ETC, and the Making Europe Great Again UCITS ETF (GR8), which aims to provide targeted exposure to companies positioned to benefit from Europe’s drive toward greater economic resilience and self-sufficiency. Both of these ETFs are also classified as Article 8 under SFDR.
Over the past year, HANetf’s suite of passive products have seen a cumulative 120.2% increase in AUM, with cumulative net flows of $1.90 billion.
Furthermore, at the ETF Stream Awards, HANetf was recognised as “White-Label ETF Provider of the Year”. This accolade reflects the continued growth and innovation of HANetf’s white-label platform, which enables asset managers from around the world to enter the European UCITS market quickly and efficiently. HANetf now accounts for around 20% of total European ETF brands.
HANetf’s model is unique in Europe: instead of requiring firms to build their own operational, regulatory, and distribution infrastructure, the platform provides a fully managed solution spanning fund structuring, Manco services, capital markets access, product management, compliance, and pan-European sales and marketing. This turnkey approach removes the typical barriers to European entry and allows managers to focus on their investment expertise while benefiting from HANetf’s established ecosystem of APs, market makers, exchanges, and distribution channels.
2025 was a particularly strong year, with a diverse range of global partners launching European strategies for the first time – including Middlefield, Regan Capital, and REX Shares. Their successful launches highlight both the scalability of the platform and its ability to support complex, differentiated strategies across active management, alternatives, defined outcome, commodities, and digital assets.
Finally, Manooj Mistry (COO) was named “European Investment Personality of the Year” at the Funds Europe Awards. The recognition comes after Manooj was recognised for “Outstanding Contribution to ETFs” at last year’s ETF Stream Awards. Manooj is a veteran of the ETF industry and was behind the first two ETFs in Europe during his time at Merrill Lynch. Following the success of US-listed ETFs, Merrill Lynch wanted to bring the products to Europe – Manooj made this happen. Over 25 years on, Manooj is still innovating – now as a part of HANetf. He and the whole HANetf team are incredibly proud to be recognised by these awards as the company continues its hard work and commitment to servicing HANetf’s white-label clients.
Hector McNeil, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of HANetf, commented: “It is always a great honour to be recognised for our contributions to the ETF industry and to be voted for by our peers. We pride ourselves on our fund range – both its breadth and quality – and winning awards such as these reaffirm that.
“It’s also great to see three aspects of HANetf individually recognised – our products, our white-label platform, and our team. It speaks to the strength of the business to be awarded across the full spectrum of what we do. From developing innovative, high-quality ETFs, to providing Europe’s leading white-label infrastructure, to the expertise and dedication of our people, these awards reflect the collective effort behind our growth.
“Receiving recognition in all three areas is a powerful validation of our model and the partners who trust us to bring their ideas to market. We are proud of what we have achieved and remain committed to raising the bar for the European ETF industry. A big thank you to Investment Week, Funds Europe, and ETF Stream for hosting these awards ceremonies and for recognising us.”
