When you invest in ETFs your capital is at risk.
HANetf, Europe’s first and leading white-label UCITS ETF and ETC platform,[5] is delighted to announce that JURY Global High Dividend UCITS ETF (ticker: JURY) has reached $108.21 million in AUM.[6]
Since launching in May on behalf of The Justice Company, JURY surpassed $100 million in AUM within approximately four months, which we believe demonstrates strong early investor interest in its distinctive combination of global equity income and human-rights screening.
That demand was reflected in HANetf’s latest survey of wealth managers from across Europe. When asked to rank five investment screens – ESG, SFDR Article 8 and 9, human rights, controversial weapons, and Shariah compliance – more than a third (34%) of wealth managers placed human rights screening among their top two priorities.
JURY combines an income-focused global equity strategy with an exclusion framework grounded in international humanitarian law and recognised human-rights standards. It invests in large- and mid-cap companies across developed markets, targeting a high dividend yield and aiming to deliver stronger income returns than the broader market.
JURY aims to offer a liquid, transparent and scalable way to access global dividend opportunities, with the potential to form part of a core equity allocation while applying clearly defined human-rights exclusions.
JURY excludes companies materially involved in genocide, war crimes, crimes against humanity, apartheid, serious occupation-related human-rights abuses, occupation-related violations, and other breaches of international humanitarian law.
Developed with independent research firm Ethical Screening, the framework applies defined thresholds informed by international standards, including the Geneva Conventions, the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises.
The Justice Company also intends to link the growth of its platform to humanitarian and educational initiatives through the establishment of a humanitarian foundation. The equivalent of 10% of JURY’s TER is dedicated to initiatives supporting communities affected by conflict, displacement and systemic oppression, including scholarships for students whose education has been disrupted by conflict and human-rights abuses.[7] As the ETF grows, the value of this commitment has the potential to grow alongside it.
The ETF is classified as Article 8 under the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR).[8]
The mid-capitalisation companies in which the ETF may invest may be more vulnerable to adverse business or economic events than larger, more established companies, and may underperform other segments of the market or the equity market as a whole.
The ETF may also be affected by uncertainties such as political developments, changes in government policies, the imposition of restrictions on the transfer of capital and in legal, regulatory and tax requirements.
Exchange rates can have a positive or negative effect on returns. The value of equities and equity-related securities can be affected by daily stock and currency market movements.
Investors’ capital is fully at risk and investors may not get back the amount originally invested.
For a complete overview of all the risks, please refer to the “Risk Factors” in the Prospectus.
“JURY was created to give investors a transparent and systematic way to reflect international law and recognised human-rights standards within a global equity income strategy. Reaching $100 million in AUM within approximately four months is an encouraging endorsement of that approach. We look forward to building on this early progress, evolving the platform and increasing its potential to support humanitarian and educational initiatives as it grows.”
“Surpassing $100 million in AUM in a relatively short timeframe is an important milestone for JURY and reflects its strong early momentum. The ETF combines a clear global equity income proposition with a carefully defined human-rights screening framework – an area ranked among the top two investment-screening priorities by more than a third of wealth managers surveyed. Importantly, as JURY grows, so too does its potential contribution to humanitarian and educational initiatives. We are delighted to support The Justice Company in bringing this distinctive strategy to European investors.”
The Justice Company is an independent initiative focused on applying rules-based human rights and international law standards to public markets investing.
Its approach is grounded in internationally recognised legal standards and authoritative sources, and is designed to provide transparent, consistently applied exclusion criteria relating to genocide, war crimes, crimes against humanity, apartheid and severe occupation-related abuses.
The company works with specialist screening and index partners to support the development of transparent, rules-based investment frameworks, while also supporting humanitarian and educational initiatives linked to communities affected by conflict and displacement.
