When you invest in ETFs your capital is at risk.
September 2026, London
HANetf, Europe’s first and leading white-label UCITS ETF and ETC platform,[1] is delighted to announce the launch of the Infrastructure Capital S&P 500 Option Income UCITS ETF (ticker: SPYC).
Infrastructure Capital S&P 500 Option Income UCITS ETF
ISIN: IE000SKTEI24
TER: 0.80%
Launched in partnership with Infrastructure Capital Advisors, SPYC combines actively selected S&P 500 equities with a flexible covered-call strategy, seeking to deliver monthly income while retaining the potential for capital growth.
Many option-income strategies track a broad equity index and write call options according to a fixed schedule. The premiums received can support regular distributions, but the options may also limit participation in market gains when the index rises above their strike prices.
SPYC takes a more selective approach. Infrastructure Capital actively constructs the equity portfolio using quantitative, qualitative and relative-value analysis, considering measures such as price-to-earnings, price-to-book, profitability and price-to-cash-flow.
Rather than replicating the S&P 500 according to market capitalisation, the manager can over- or underweight individual companies based on its assessment of their valuations and return potential. This allows SPYC to maintain exposure to major S&P 500 companies while seeking opportunities elsewhere within the index.
The ETF’s option overlay is managed with the same flexibility. SPYC can write shorter-dated call options selectively on individual holdings or the S&P 500 Index, adjusting the proportion of the portfolio covered, as well as the options’ strike prices and expiry dates.
The strategy can seek to capture premiums from companies the manager considers overvalued or where implied volatility is elevated, while aiming to leave more growth potential across the rest of the portfolio. SPYC aims to convert these premiums into monthly distributions while also seeking capital appreciation from its equity holdings.
Infrastructure Capital Advisors manages approximately $4 billion in assets and specialises in income-oriented investment strategies.[2] Its proprietary investment process is applied across both SPYC’s equity portfolio and options overlay.
This is the third product that Infrastructure Capital has launched on the HANetf platform. Their full range is below:
“In the current market environment, many investors are seeking consistent income without giving up exposure to growth, » said Jay Hatfield, CEO and CIO of Infrastructure Capital Advisors. « SPYC is built to monetize the increased volatility we’ve seen across S&P 500 listed companies through active options strategies while maintaining the careful and pragmatic approach to portfolio and product construction that Infrastructure Capital has become well known for.”
Hector McNeil, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of HANetf, commented: “We’re delighted to see Infrastructure Capital launch its third ETF with HANetf, further strengthening our partnership. SPYC brings a differentiated approach to options-income investing by combining active S&P 500 stock selection with a flexible covered-call strategy. This gives investors access to a strategy that seeks to generate monthly income while retaining the potential for capital growth.
“Options based strategies are rapidly growing with Europe, and this ETF is a timely addition to the market. Given Infrastructure Capital’s expertise, we think this could be an exciting product for investors across Europe.”
