Europes first gold mining ETF with an ESG conscious mandate
This is Europe’s first opportunity to access an ESG considerate gold mining ETF.
Tracks 25 best-in-class ESG risk companies in the sector
ESG screening excludes all but the 25 best-in-class ESG gold mining companies. The ESG risk score is provided by Sustainalytics, who have over 25 years’ experience producing ESG related research.
Equal weighting on index avoids concentration risks
Equal weighting helps avoid concentration risks typical of a market/liquid weighted index. The possible underweighting of dominant mega-companies may provide a beneficial return profile in a gold bull market.
AuAg ESG Gold Mining UCITS ETF (ESGO) seeks to offer exposure to an equal-weighted basket of 25 ESG screened companies that are active in the gold mining industry. The gold mining ETF tracks the Solactive AuAg ESG Gold Mining Index which focuses on companies that have low ESG risk characteristics. The fund uses Sustainalytics to screen the mining universe for their ESG credentials, attributing a risk score based on their findings. Only the top 25 lowest ESG Risk companies are included within the index.
Key Risks
Gold mining companies are highly dependent on the price of gold and may be adversely affected by a variety of worldwide economic, financial and political factors. The fund will be sensitive to changes in, and its performance will depend to a greater extent on, the overall condition of gold mining companies. Investments related to gold are considered speculative and are affected by a variety of factors. Investment risk may be concentrated in specific sectors, countries, currencies or companies. This means that the fund may be more sensitive to any localised economic, market, political or regulatory events. For a complete overview of all the risks, please refer to the “Risk Factors” in the Prospectus.
Source: HANetf, data as of 30.04.2024. Please note that all performance figures are showing net data. Performance before inception is based on back-tested data. Back-tested data does not represent actual performance and should not be interpreted as an indication of actual or future performance. Past performance for the index is in USD. Past performance is not an indicator for future results and should not be the sole factor of consideration when selecting a product. Investors should read the prospectus of the Issuer (“Prospectus”) before investing and should refer to the section of the Prospectus entitled “Risk Factors” for further details of risks associated with an investment in this product.
